My Ball-and-Chain
I swung it daily, my ball-and-chain, around and around the tea trolley, hoarse with hoping it would hit someone.
You, sipping, listening with your eyes, gently disengaged it. You poured me some tea, cuffed me to myself and bid me walk free.

I realyl like this poem. I’ts very heavy, as in the subject is a great weight, but yet, it walks so quietly – the language is so soft and simple. Really nice.
Thank you! Your image of the poem “walking quietly” really touched me. I’m glad to know it communicates as I meant it to!
